dark chocolate chip cherry cookies.

I used the Dark Chocolate Kodiak Cakes mix to make cookies! I was thinking what I could add to these cookies that would make them unique… dried cherries!! The cherries chunks go really well with the dark chocolate and of course, added chocolate chips!

  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 1 & 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 & 1/2 cups Dark Chocolate Kodiak Cakes mix
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup dried cherries

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. With an electric mixer, beat butter and brown sugar until fluffy
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing after each addition
  4. Add vanilla and mix until combined
  5. In a separate bowl, add and mix Dark Chocolate Kodiak Cakes mix, baking soda, baking powder, and salt
  6. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients in about 3 increments, mixing after each addition until combined
  7. Add mini chocolate chips and dried cherries and mix until just combined
  8. Scoop tablespoons of cookie dough onto a baking sheet
  9. Bake 375 for 8-10 minutes
  10. Cool on a cooling rack… or eat warm – my favorite!!
