There’s really something about white peaches that I like better than regular peaches. I have no idea what that something is… but I’ve always admired them more! So here I made a baked white peach crumble. I cut the peaches into halves, topped them with a brown sugar and cinnamon crumble, and baked them until they were warm and golden brown. I don’t think you can get any better than that! Except when you top it with Siggi’s vanilla yogurt and honey! ๐
RECIPE: (makes 6 peach halves)
- 3 white peaches, cut in half
- 1/2 cup Kodiak Cakes power cakes mix
- 1/3 cup instant oats
- 3 tablespoons butter, softened slightly
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
INSTRUCTIONS:
- preheat oven to 375 degrees
- place peaches in a small baking dish (I used a 6×4 – all the peaches snuggled perfectly together)
- in a separate bowl, add the Kodiak Cakes mix, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and butter
- use a fork or a pastry cutter and incorporate the butter into the dry ingredients until it forms a crumble (the size of peas)
- top the peaches with the crumble
- bake for 20 minutes, or until the top of the crumble is golden brown
- remove from oven and serve with vanilla yogurt or ice cream! ย and top with honey if you desire ๐
I don’t remember how I feel about white peaches because I haven’t had one in awhile, but I LOVE white nectarines :3 I’ll look out for white peaches next time I go grocery shopping ๐ -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
