chili is one of my favorite comfort foods for a cold day 🙂 i topped my bowl with scallions, cheddar cheese and avocado!
RECIPE:
1 package 99% fat free ground turkey
1 can diced tomatoes
1 can red kidney beans
1 yellow onion (diced)
1 yellow bell pepper (diced)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 jalepeno (diced)
1 tablespoon hot sauce
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons chili powder
in a large pot, simmer onions, peppers and jalepeno in olive oil for about 3-4 minutes
add ground turkey and cook until golden brown
add the rest of the ingredients and simmer on low heat for about 1 hour
serve with cheddar cheese, avocado, scallions or whatever else you prefer in your chili!! enjoy 🙂
