fudgey fig brownies.

these brownies are UNBELIEVABLE! honestly… turned out JUST how i wanted them to. i wanted to make them seem like a REAL brownie like the ones you would make from a box. and they are, i think, EVEN BETTER!! but 100% clean 🙂

1/2 cup dried figs (pureed into a paste)
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup oat flour (oats ground really fine into flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 egg whites

in a sauce pan on medium heat, combine fig puree, chocolate chips, almond milk, vanilla, coconut oil and cocoa powder
wait until everything melts and blends together, then remove from heat
in another large bowl, combine oat flour, baking soda, baking powder
add chocolate mixture to flour mixture and mix well

in another small bowl, whip egg whites to stiff peeks
fold your egg whites into your batter
bake in a brownie pan for about 20-25 minutes or until knife comes out clean

these are SOO moist and fudgey 🙂 enjoy!
