day 10 - oatmeal 10 ways.

strawberry pina colada oatmeal.

sorry to disappoint some of you who wanted the savory flavors!! but i decided i will be doing a second round on savory oatmeal!! this was actually a really fun experience doing this “oatmeal 10 ways” because i like to liven it up for people who don’t like oatmeal!! i was getting really good feedback and it was really enjoyable to see you all responding on what you wanted to see from me 🙂 i thank you all for that experience.

1/2 cup oats
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 cup pineapple pureed
1/2 cup strawberries pureed
1 light n fit vanilla greek yogurt (or plain greek yogurt-about 1/2 cup)
2 tablespoons unsweetened coconut flakes
1/4 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/2 teaspoon rum extract
1/2 teaspoon coconut extract
1 maraschino cherry for garnish
slice of pineapple for garnish

for the oatmeal:
combine oats and unsweetened almond milk in a bowl
microwave for 1 minute
add strawberries and protein powder
microwave for another minute

for the coconut yogurt:
add coconut extract and 1 tablespoon coconut flakes to the vanilla yogurt and mix

for the pineapple rum sauce:
add rum extract to pureed pineapple and mix

layer your oatmeal, coconut yogurt, and pineapple rum sauce in a mason jar/glass/bowl so your yogurt is last (looks like whipped cream!) and garnish with the extra coconut flakes, a maraschino cherry and sliced pineapple on the side! i love this presentation! i think it’s my favorite one i have made! 🙂 enjoy your cocktail!
