day 5 - oatmeal 10 ways.

“detox” green smoothie oatmeal.

RECIPE:
1/2 cup oats
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 cup fresh spinach leaves
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/2 cup plain, unsweetened green tea
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 kiwi peeled and sliced

in a food processor, grind spinach until very fine
soak chia seeds in 1/4 cup green tea for about 15 minutes until mixture becomes thick and seeds are more plump
add 1/4 scoop vanilla protein powder to chai seeds

for the oatmeal:
combine oats and almond milk in a bowl
cook for 1 minute
add spinach, vanilla extract, cinnamon, 1/4 cup green tea and 1/4 scoop protein powder
cook for another minute

layer your oatmeal and chia seeds in a bowl/mason jar/cup along with your sliced kiwi! I just wanted to make it look pretty because I love the way kiwis look when you cut them open! enjoy your “detox” fresh start for the day πŸ™‚
