day 1-oatmeal 10 ways.

carrot cake oatmeal layered with fat free cream cheese protein frosting.

RECIPE:
for the oatmeal:
1/2 cup oats
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon cloves
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup shredded carrots
1 tablespoon truvia

combine oats and almond milk and cook for 1 minute
add carrots, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, truvia and pumpkin pie spice
cook for another minute
your oatmeal is done πŸ™‚

for the frosting:
1 and 1/2 tablespoon fat free cream cheese
1 tablespoon truvia
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

soften the fat free cream cheese in the microwave for about 8-10 seconds so you can mix it
with a spoon mix in truvia, cinnamon, vanilla extract and protein powder
add some water for desired consistency (protein powder makes it thicker!)

in a mason jar or regular bowl layer your oatmeal and frosting so you get both in every bite πŸ™‚ (this is why i love layering components of my food)

enjoy your carrot “cake” first thing in the morning hehe!
